Virtual Counselling for Adults in British Columbia
Anxiety, low mood, intrusive thoughts, trauma, and major life changes can gradually affect how you see yourself and move through the world. Counselling offers a space to better understand what is happening and begin making practical, meaningful changes.
Flowstead provides individual virtual counselling grounded primarily in cognitive behavioural therapy. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your experiences, needs, and goals.
Anxiety and Depression
Anxiety and depression can show up through persistent worry, panic, avoidance, low motivation, loss of interest, or feeling disconnected from the life you want to be living. Together, we can identify the patterns maintaining these difficulties and build practical ways of responding differently.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
OCD can involve distressing intrusive thoughts, uncertainty, and repetitive behaviours or mental rituals that provide short-term relief but keep the cycle going. Treatment can incorporate exposure and response prevention to help you relate differently to intrusive thoughts and regain flexibility in your life.
Trauma & PTSD
Traumatic experiences can affect your emotions, relationships, beliefs, and sense of safety long after the event has passed. Counselling can help you process what happened, understand its ongoing impact, and move forward without minimizing what you have experienced.
What To Expect
Sessions are 50 minutes and take place securely online through Jane. You can join from a private space anywhere in British Columbia.
We’ll begin by understanding what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to change. From there, we’ll develop a shared plan that may include exploring patterns, learning practical strategies, and trying new approaches between sessions. Therapy will have structure and direction while remaining flexible enough to respond to what you need.
